ANTICIPATED START DATE: May 15, 2017
The Annual Giving Officer will work collaboratively with the Stout University Foundation and UW-Stout Alumni Association to fulfill university fundraising initiatives. This position is responsible for all annual campaign duties, the Foundation’s call center, and soliciting benefactors to the annual fund.
Duties include developing solicitation strategies for the annual fund and greater comprehensive campaign, coordinating annual fund communications and creative marketing materials, including but not limited to drafting fundraising letters, impact stories, and call center scripts, analyze annual fund production, using giving trends and demographic profiles in future program planning.
A bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated 2-3 years experience with higher education fundraising, annual fund or sales/marketing
Demonstrated proficiency in written communications
Demonstrated experience in authoring and designing content for web and social media platforms
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with Ruffalo-Noel-Levitz (Campus Call) or similar call center software and management of fundraising call center operations
Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge or similar customer relationship management database system
Experience with web content management systems
Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills and success while working in a team setting
Commitment to higher education and a strong desire to champion the mission of the University of Wisconsin-Stout and the Office of University Advancement
The primary responsibilities are, but are not limited to: Develop and implement annual fund campaigns through direct mail, telephone, email, web, social media and personal solicitation. In coordination with the Foundation development team, set and evaluate fundraising goals for annual giving and develop plans to successfully meet those goals. Manage all phone solicitation efforts and call center staff. Write annual and campaign fundraising materials to educate, engage and solicit philanthropic support for UW-Stout. Other duties as assigned.
The UW-Stout Office of University Advancement is comprised of the UW-Stout Alumni Association, the Stout University Foundation and the University Marketing. The three units collaboratively strive to advance the mission of UW-Stout through building relationships with alumni, friends and partners of the university.
