The National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD) is the accrediting body for all are and design related disciplines across the country. UW-Stout has been accredited by NASAD since 1989, and is reviewed every 10 years. Over the next year, UW-Stout will be going through a university-wide self-study that involves multiple colleges and units on campus. The Arts Accreditation Assistant position will assist the associate dean & director of the School of Art & Design in various tasks connected to carrying out and submitting the self-study, as well as coordinating the evaluation campus visits. Additional duties will include; gathering and organizing materials in digital and printed form, attending meetings and taking notes, writing and formatting various documents, scheduling itineraries for visiting evaluators and performing other duties in support of the School of Art & Design as assigned by the director.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and cloud-based storage software such as OneDrive and Sharepoint
- Associate's or bachelor's degree, or minimum two (2) years' experience in an office setting
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people in a team setting
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in event planning
- Ability and knowledge of working within Public University Budget guidelines
This is a temporary position that will work 10 hours per week Monday-Friday. Expected job end date is May 1, 2018. The salary for this position is $14.00 per hour.
