University of Wisconsin-Stout School of Education seeks an emerging or established scholar with expertise to fill a tenure-track position in Special Education at the Assistant or Associate level. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and supportive environment to maintain an active research agenda, including the pursuit of external funding. The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses (face-to-face and online), including teacher preparation, supervise students and be involved in course and program assessment of student learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Doctorate or currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Special Education or a closely related field with completion of doctorate one year from contract start date
- Graduate degree in Special Education or closely related field
- 3 years of full-time teaching experience within the PK-12 schools

Preferred:
- Doctorate or ABD in Special Education or closely related field
- Certifiable/Licensable in Special Education
- Ability to teach using distance education strategies including online courses, blended learning and distributed learning
- A history of leadership, scholarly publications, and service in higher education
