JOB DUTIES:
Serve as a paraprofessional in an advanced support role and reports to the Collection Development Librarian. Responsible for the operation of all activities related to Electronic Databases, Standing Orders and Serials (periodicals). Acts as primary back-up to the Acquisitions/Monographs Library Services Assistant-Senior position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- Attention to detail, proofreading and editing skills.
- Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, databases) and the Internet.
- Aptitude for making progress on multiple simultaneous projects.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize work effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a changing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to excellence in service to a diverse community of users.
- Good work habits, such as attendance, punctuality, accountability, thoroughness and resourcefulness.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred
- A bachelor¿s degree
- Experience ordering and receiving using purchasing software and/or vendor websites.
- Experience in higher education environment.
- Experience working in library technical services, acquisitions or collection development.
- Budgeting experience.
- Experience with Ex Libris ALMA Library Services Platform.
- Experience with other Library Services Platform(s).
- Library cataloging experience.
- Supervisory experience.

SPECIAL NOTES:
The minimum starting salary is $15.411 per hour and is a 75% position based on a full year. The hourly rate for this position is negotiable based on experience and available budget.
