Assistant/Associate Professor, Operations and Management
Faculty, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Operations and Management Department at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Menomonie, Wisconsin, USA. This is a nine-month academic year appointment. Start date: August 19, 2019.
- Master’s degree and currently enrolled in a doctoral program in data management, SAP and supply chain management, or closely related field
- Three years of professional work experience in the above area
- Degrees in Engineering, Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management or related fields
- Leadership position experiences in multiple areas of the supply chain
- Professional certification in APICS, ISM, ASQ or PMI
A doctorate degree is required by time of tenure decision.
The university emphasizes teaching competency; candidates brought to campus will be required to teach a specific topic (provided by the search committee) as part of the interview process.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses both, on-campus and on-line. Primary needs call for teaching Operations Management, Supply Chain and Project Management. In addition to teaching, all UW-Stout faculty are expected to engage in assessment of student learning, research and professional service.
The Operations and Management (O&M) Department is housed in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Management. O&M primarily serves undergraduate majors in Management, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Technology, Construction, and Packaging, as well as graduate majors in Training and Human Resources Development, Engineering, Risk Control, and Operations and Supply Management. The department currently has 40 faculty/staff and offers in excess of 50 courses and 100 different sections each semester.

Faculty members teach, advise students, conduct research, assess student learning and engage in service activities.
Menomonie, Wisconsin, is a town of 16,000 located in the beautiful Chippewa River Valley, 25 miles west of Eau Claire and 60 miles east of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

Minimum academic year starting salary of $62,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan.
