Case Facilitator (Rehabilitation Specialist)

The Case Facilitator (Rehabilitation Specialist) position is a full-time appointment, Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm, within the Eligibility Unit of Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute (SVRI). The anticipated start date is 03/1/2022. The position requires gathering and analyzing records for the purpose of determining eligibility for vocational rehabilitation services through the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). Diagnostic interviewing skills are critical to ensure the information gathered is thorough and accurate. Effective communication skills and an understanding of ethical practices are necessary to establish and maintain working relationships with counselors and staff in DVR offices across the state as recommendations for eligibility and Order of Selection are developed.

Minimum / Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Business, Psychology, or related field
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats
- Ability to relate to diverse professional, consumer, and employer populations (ethnic, cultural, social)
- Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- One year of work experience in Vocational Rehabilitation or related fields
- Knowledge of physical and mental impairments and their effects on vocational and social adjustment
- Experience with techniques and principles of diagnostic interviewing
- Knowledge of community resources and methods of accessing them
- Experience with web-based case management systems
- Demonstrated experience in establishing a climate (work environment) that embraces equity, diversity, and inclusion.
