Counselor / Psychologist
The University of Wisconsin-Stout Counseling Center is seeking qualified individuals to apply for multiple positions. All positions are 90% appointments with full benefits. We seek candidates who demonstrate a clear interest and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion practices within their clinical practice and supervision work. As a staff we are committed to ongoing reflection, learning, and incorporation of a multicultural perspective into all areas of our work. All positions will be responsible for providing culturally informed services, including using best practices and evidenced-based care, to ensure a high quality of care for all students
These positions will be responsible for a significant clinical caseload, ranging from 50-60%. In their clinical roles, staff will be responsible for providing individual, couples, and group counseling, crisis services and intervention, outreach and prevention programming, and consultation to campus and community constituents. These services may be provided both in-person and through telecounseling. In addition to clinical work, there are several coordinator roles and one will be assigned to each counselor/psychologist position filled based on skills, experiences, and interests. The coordinator roles assist with overseeing specific areas in the center and could include (1) Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; (2) Alcohol and Drug Education; (3) Case Management; or (4) Another area of interest that benefits students and our work. All staff also participate in providing clinical supervision, as appropriate, to Master’s level trainees and counseling staff who are working towards licensure.

Minimum / Required
- Master’s degree completed by start date in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or related degree which meets educational requirements for Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion practices within an organization, team, and/or campus environment.
Preferred/Highly Desired Qualifications
- Licensed or licensed eligible in Wisconsin within approximately 6 months as a LP, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW
- Experience/expertise in the following:
- Crisis assessment and response.
- Assessing and treating serious mental health issues.
- Clinical experience working with traditionally underserved or marginalized populations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing clinical services, outreach, and training for diverse populations.
- Clinical supervision.
- Facilitation of groups, particularly interpersonal process groups.
- Providing telehealth services.
