JOB DUTIES

Position Purpose: Under general supervision, the Department Coordinator is responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of a variety of independent and administrative responsibilities to support the Associate Director, department academic staff, and the unit as a whole

Primary Responsibilities

Provide administrative, program and office management support, including but not limited to:

A: Provide administrative support for the Stout Online Associate Director and Unit.

B: Provide general office management oversight.

C: Stout Online marketing and communication support.

D: Provide Stout Online program support.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of office or administrative support experience.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite, Office 365 and the Internet.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or formal administrative training.
  • Experience with marketing.
  • Currently in an office environment in a support role.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Canvas or related learning environment, database querying, website software, email marketing software, and Qualtrics.

The unit advocates for student learning success by decreasing barriers and increasing learning support services.

Stout Online provides support services for individual courses, undergraduate and graduate level degree programs, professional development for educators online, certificates, certifications and credit outreach programs. Stout Online supports students, instructors, program directors and departments in the delivery of these courses and programs.

Menomonie, Wisconsin, is a town of 16,000 located in the beautiful Chippewa River Valley, 25 miles west of Eau Claire and 60 miles east of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

SPECIAL NOTES:

The normal work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The minimum starting salary is $15.42 per hour. The hourly rate for this position is negotiable based on experience and available budget. A six-month probation is required. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State Retirement Plan.
