SALARY: Minimum starting salary of $15.33/hour
The basic functions of this job are daily repairs on equipment, systems and dorm rooms in the resident halls. Duties include but are not limited to electrical components, heating and ventilation systems, plumbing systems, doors, windows and furniture. All repairs must be completed using general acceptable standards and practices. Performance of maintenance will be required on mechanical systems of similar kind and level. This job requires record keeping and preventative maintenance on pumps, exhaust fans, electrical appliances, firefighting equipment, etc. This position functions as a lead worker for student and limited term employees. Use of good judgement of these duties with minimum supervision and the ability to comply with recognized health and safety practices are components of this position. This position requires comprehension of complex verbal and/or written instructions and performance of heavy manual labor. Work tasks will be performed in a variety of weather conditions throughout the year. The normal work schedule for this position is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Customer service skills and experience.
- Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets) and the Internet.
- Experience in building/equipment maintenance repairs.
- Experience in repairs for a facility with multiple occupancy living conditions.

The minimum starting salary is $15.33 per hour. The hourly rate for this position is negotiable based on experience and available budget. A six-month probation is required.
