SALARY: The minimum starting annual salary is $16.55 per hour.
Under general supervision of the Executive Chef, this position is responsible for food production for University Dining operations in the Memorial Student Center. This position leads and directs the work of student employees in the production kitchen and front of house stations. They work with a team of professional staff to meet the needs of the operation. This position assists the Executive Chef with Food Pro paperwork, ordering, inventory, production of food for catered events, storeroom maintenance, receipt of deliveries, food safety, and sanitation duties.

University Dining Service is a self-operated auxiliary on the UW-Stout Campus with a $10 million budget. The department has three facilities that house and provide services at other location across the campus: Merle Price Commons, North Point Dining and the Memorial Student Center. There are two cafeterias, Commons and North Point, retail outlets in the Student Center, (food court & marketplace) express locations in academic buildings and c-stores in cafeterias. Campus catering and concessions are also functions of this department. The department has 41 permanent staff and over 500 student employees. Some locations operate year-round and others are closed during the summer period.

The minimum starting salary is $16.55 per hour. A six-month probation is required. This position is also contingent upon passing an essential job function test and criminal background check.
