JOB DETAILS:


Reporting to the Assistant Chancellor for Planning, Assessment, Research and Quality (PARQ), and working closely with the chairs of the Faculty Senate, Senate of Academic Staff and University Staff Senate, this position manages the senates’ planning process, initiatives, senate resolutions and actions, and special projects. In these functions, the position will interact frequently with senate executives, faculty, academic staff, university staff, Chancellor’s office staff, Provost’s office staff, Human Resources staff, and other administrators to ensure that the senate office work is completed in a professional and timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum / Required

  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Attention to detail, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-years related experience

Highly Desired

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience taking minutes and maintaining impartiality in a meeting
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience developing schedules for multiple groups
  • Experience maintaining electronic documents
  • Experience using survey software (e.g., Qualtrics)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or collaboratively to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience working in a professional environment
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing a work environment that embraces equity, diversity, and inclusion

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

The Assistant Chancellor for Planning, Assessment, Research and Quality (PARQ) facilitates the university’s strategic planning processes and events, directs the university’s institutional research group and Catalyst external research service group, and leads Baldrige improvement efforts. The Faculty Senate, Senate of Academic Staff, and University Staff Senate represent the three primary groups of employees at UW-Stout.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Full-time, academic year (nine month) appointment. Salary of $42,300, based on a 9-month appointment. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan, demonstrating our commitment to the diverse needs of our employees.
