Housing Operations Coordinator
Job Description
The Operations Coordinator for University Housing serves as the primary point of contact and processor for all current student contracts and as department coordinator for summer housing, camps, and conferences operation. As such, this position will often coordinate with the office of Conferences and Events, campus and community partners, and other student support offices. As the coordinator of summer operations, your key responsibilities will include coordinating summer housing contracts, planning annual break staff and summer camps and conference operations, and supervision of 10-20 break/summer staff student employees. Additionally, this position will manage the procurement and reconciliation process for departmental purchases and travel. Successful candidates will have demonstrated skills in student development and retention, excellent oral and written communication skills, data management in resident management software, and an understanding of the intersectionality of identities.
Salary: Minimum starting $55,000
Anticipated start date: January 2025

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum / Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR equivalent education and work experience.
- Full or part time work experience in student affairs at an institution of higher education.
Highly Desired
- Master's degree from an accredited institution OR equivalent education and work experience.
- Supervisory skills that demonstrate an ability to effectively support and challenge staff members.
- Experience with resident management software or closely related database management.
- Experience managing temporary stay housing operations (i.e.: summer camps/conferences).
- Demonstrated competence in intercultural development and efforts to create inclusive communities.
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
University Housing at the University of Wisconsin-Stout is committed to working with students, colleagues, and families to provide secure and well-maintained communities that inspire discovery, reflection, and lifelong learning. We are an auxiliary operation which provides housing to approximately 3,000 students across nine residence halls. Living on campus is required through the second year of college with students residing in traditional and suite-style buildings within dedicated first-year experiences and living environments for students in their second year and beyond. Our programming model emphasizes personal interactions, life skill development, academic success, and cultural humility. Candidates who have working knowledge within or can contribute to these focus areas are encouraged to share more about these experiences.

The minimum annual starting salary is $55,000; commensurate with finalist's qualifications, experience and available budget.
