Interlibrary Loan Coordinator and Assistant Cataloger
Seeking detail-oriented person to join the service minded library team. This position works independently as well as collaboratively with Stout library staff and the UW Libraries to manage interlibrary loan functions. This position assumes complete responsibility for all Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Borrowing and Lending services, either through the ILL network or the UW System Library Resource Sharing network. This person works with the head cataloger to copy catalog physical materials for the library. This position also serves as the backup supervisor for circulation and cataloging students, which requires working at the Circulation Desk and may occasionally require working evening or weekend hours to ensure proper coverage of Library Circulation activities.

HOURLY WAGE: $17.50-18.50 per hour, based on experience and available budget
Minimum / Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience working successfully in a team environment
- Ability to learn new procedures and tasks
- Attention to detail, proofreading and editing skills
- Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, database) and the Internet
- High School diploma or GED/HSED equivalent
- Associates degree in a related field.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience in a library or similar setting.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Responsible for operation and management of Borrowing and Lending of library Materials with other libraries worldwide. Ensure accurate verification of materials, transmission of requests, record keeping, and annual reports. Must complete timely communication with patrons and other libraries by email, telephone, and in-person. Responsible for billing non-returned items. Will maintain software updates and procedural manuals for ILL. Attend meetings and workshops to maintain knowledge of changes in ILL Policies and new technologies. Working with the head cataloger, will follow UW System Libraries and OCLC standard procedures for copy cataloging physical library collections. Act as back-up Circulation Supervisor, overseeing student staff including knowledge of all Circulation policies and procedures. Will participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of student employees.
