INTRODUCTION:
Inventory Control Coordinator-Mail Services
This is a full-time position that reports to the Materials Management Supervisor. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Mail Services, Central Receiving and University Stores to include on Campus interdepartmental mail, US Postal, Bulk mail management & processing, support incoming & outgoing packages. Meter outgoing mail by appropriate classes, rates, and methods of delivery to include Certified, registered, Insured, UPS, Federal Express. Deliver and pick up of mail and packages using campus van and forklift. This position works independently and with limited supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum / Required
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills working with a diverse community.
Work independently and as part of a team environment on collaborative efforts.
Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet.
Good work habits, such as attendance, punctuality, accountability, thoroughness, and resourcefulness.
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s license.
Highly Desired
Customer Service experience.
Experience with USPS standards.
Forklift certification.
Demonstrated experience in establishing a climate (work environment) that embraces equity, diversity, and inclusion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Completes mail processing and distribution-related duties for incoming and outgoing mail according to best practice to ensure timely receipt and quality handling of incoming and outgoing USPS and institutional mail. Completes mail shipment and delivery transactions and associated activities according to customer specifications and in conjunction with established pickup and delivery schedules, rules, and regulations. Processes notifications to appropriate entities to relay delivery status and provide excellent customer service
