IT Business Analyst II
Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Aid, this person will serve as the functional lead for financial aid related systems including, but not limited to, the PeopleSoft Student Administration system and ImageNow system. This challenging position is a blend of student financial aid functional knowledge, technical expertise, and business analysis skills.
Minimum / Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with a relational database system or Financial Aid experience
- Some knowledge and understanding of financial aid-federal, state, institutional
- Proven knowledge and skill with a report writing tool
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the following competencies: decision-making and critical thinking, effective communication, and problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
- Experience using the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions software
- Experience with PSQuery (or related SQL query experience)
- Experience working in higher education/student services
- Documented experience working with business process improvement
Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Aid, this person will serve as the functional lead for financial aid related systems including, but not limited to, the PeopleSoft Student Administration system and ImageNow system. Responsibilities include maintaining the financial aid module of PeopleSoft and maximizing the use of existing software tools to meet federal, state, and institutional financial aid requirements. This position is also responsible for testing and troubleshooting software bundles and updates, and performing the annual software set-up. The position is a blend of student financial aid functional knowledge, technical expertise, and business analysis skills. This position will also be responsible for developing and implementing complex reports and queries on an as needed basis. Serve as the Financial Aid Office liaison for technical issues that involve the IT department and software vendors. There will be an option for a hybrid work plan after a significant training period in accordance with campus telecommuting policy.

Minimum starting salary of $60,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan.
