JOB TITLE: KEY CONTROL / FLEET ASSOCIATE

This position is the first point of contact with university staff, students, outside contractors and vendors either in person or by phone. Responsibilities include determining the customer needs and how best to respond to them. This person is responsible for processing key requests, working with the campus locksmith to ensure timely turnaround of key requests. This position is responsible for managing the data integrity of the Key Module within our CMMS system. This position is responsible for facilitating Fleet reservations and billing. This position works in a computerized maintenance management system to assist in processing work requests and miscellaneous data entry projects. Additionally, this position is responsible for issuance and return of campus keys and fleet vehicles.
This position works collaboratively with Work Control Center Coordinator regarding back-up coverage to the Work Control Center Coordinator; processing work requests through the i-service desk. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining Facilities Management calendars and room reservations. This position sorts, stamps and distributes incoming mail and performs other duties as assigned to ensure efficiency in the front office.

Facilities Management Administrative department is responsible for processing work requests, purchasing goods and services needed on work orders and projects, receiving goods and services, ensuring accurate billing of work orders across campus, making sure the labor, parts and material are accurate before the work order is closed and billed. The department is comprised of Key Control, Campus Fleet, Central Stores Warehouse, purchase agent, financial specialist, TMA administrator and work control coordinator. We lease fleet to campus students and/or staff; allowing economical travel options. We issue keys to campus and conduct annual key audits to ensure campus security.

The normal work schedule for this position is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The minimum starting salary is $15.42 per hour. A six-month probation is required.
