SALARY: $16.55 per hour
Under the supervision of the unit manager, this lead position directs and trains student employees in customer service, sanitation, food handling and preparation, service methods, proper setup/teardown of retail operations and catering events. This position works with a team of student employees, leads, and managers to ensure that University Dining Services standards are met, that security is maintained and that a positive image is projected to customers. This position requires a valid driver license.

Shift will be posted weekly and will require nights and weekends. Employee must be able to lift 30-40# on a frequent basis and up to 60 # with assistance. Constant standing/walking with frequent bending and stooping must be done to perform job tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
Frequent night and weekend hours will be required along with some holidays. The schedule will change weekly depending on service needs.

The minimum starting salary is $16.55 per hour. A six-month probation is required. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State Retirement Plan. University Dining Service is a self-operated auxiliary on the UW-Stout Campus with a $10 million budget. The department has three facilities that house and provide services at other location across the campus: Merle Price Commons, North Point Dining and the Memorial Student Center. There are two cafeterias, Commons and North Point, retail outlets in the Student Center, (food court & marketplace) express locations in academic buildings and c-stores in cafeterias. Campus catering and concessions are also functions of this department. The department has 41 permanent staff and over 500 student employees. Some locations operate year-round and others are closed during the summer period.
