JOB DETAILS:
This position will be responsible for the support and maintenance of campus infrastructure and applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum / Required
Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Linux or Microsoft server administration experience
Ability to work with diverse clients to understand needs and provide solutions and expertise
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Highly Desired
Experience administering Office 365 and Azure Services
Experience configuring and administering enterprise backup solutions
Experience with on-prem and/or cloud-based server virtualization
Experience with scripting or similar technologies for automating repetitive tasks
Experience with writing complex database queries
Experience with following and administering security policies and best practices
Experience working in a higher-education environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement and maintain physical, virtual, and cloud-based Linux and Windows servers
Administer Office 365 and Azure services
Provide expertise in writing database queries, scripting, and process automation.
Secure campus server infrastructure in accordance with industry best practices
Help manage and mentor Infrastructure Services student workers.
Administer servers and assist application administrators with maintenance of specific applications
Work with team to develop and implement information security policies and procedures
Perform data storage management for the campus including backup and recovery
Develop scripts and other efficiencies to improve management

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Minimum annual starting salary of $60,000; commensurate with finalist's qualifications and experience. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan.
