JOB TITLE: UW-Stout Dining Operations Program Associate

JOB DUTIES

The UW-Stout University Dining Office Program Associate is responsible for serving as the office manager for University Dining in the Memorial Student Center. This position manages student related human resources paperwork, hiring, scheduling, and payroll assistance. It also processes centralized billings and accounts receivable for all service providers, assists the Catering Manager by receiving and entering catering orders, and coordinates ticketing for Dining special buffets and events. Additionally, this position assists with the execution of catering events or retail spaces as needed, which may require nights and weekends. This position supervises student employees (1.5 FTE) in an office setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Experience with keyboard data entry.
  • Experience with customer service within a diverse community
  • Experience in an office setting

Preferred

  • Experience working in a food service operation
  • Experience with database and records management software
  • Experience with reservations software
  • Experience with payroll software systems

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

University Dining is a self-operated dining venture on campus with a $10 million operating budget. The department has three facilities that provide food services across campus, including Merle Price Commons Cafeteria, North Point Dining Cafeteria, retail offerings and a robust catering unit in the Memorial Student Center, express locations, convenience stores, and concessions operations. The department includes a dynamic management team and dedicated permanent staff and over 400 student employees.

SPECIAL NOTES

The normal work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM; however, schedule is based on operational need.

The minimum starting salary is $16.25 per hour. The hourly rate for this position is based on experience and available budget. A six-month probation is required.
