INTRODUCTION:

JOB DUTIES

This position serves as an administrative assistant to the Director, Associate and Assistant Directors of Admissions. Provides office coordination for the campus visitation program and communication between the Admissions Office, the public and other university offices. Assists with overseeing tour guides and managing office functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum
    • High School diploma.
    • Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (Microsoft Office Suite) and the Internet.
    • Experience working in an office environment.

  • Highly Desired
    • Experience working in a customer service role
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
    • Work independently and as part of a team environment and on collaborative efforts.
    • Experience using customer relationship management, imaging, or other related software systems.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The normal work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the department.

The hourly rate for this position is based on experience and available budget. The minimum starting salary is $16.04/hour. A six-month probationary period is required. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan.

Employment is contingent upon the final candidate’s completing a criminal background check and being cleared to work by the Human Resources team.
